Palawan
Known the world over as the Philippines' last ecological frontier, the province of Palawan harbors vast tracts of tropical rainforests and a huge expanse of marine wilderness. Thick canopies of trees carpet mountain ranges running the length of the mainland. Fringing reefs and coral atolls open a new realm to discover under the clear waters surrounding this archipelago of more than 1,700 islands some of them the site of first class resort development in the country.

Puerto Princesa Bay Walk - is the city’s entertainment promenade which is Palawan’s version of the Roxas Boulevard in Manila. Health enthusiasts jog or brisk walk early mornings along the bay walk which also gives them a good view of Puerto Princesa Bay. Boats are for rent for those who are interested in sailing and would want to feel the coolness of the afternoon sea breeze. Puerto Princesa Bay is the jump off point for dolphin and whale watching that has become a popular activity among tourists visiting Puerto Princesa.
Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park - A "World Heritage Site," this natural wonder features an 8.2-kilometer navigable Underground River, reputed to be the world's longest that winds through a spectacular cave before emptying out into the South China Sea. Cathedral Chambers, wide hallways, and interesting geological formations greet the wide-eyed visitor to the grotto hidden beneath St. Paul Mountain. At the mouth of the cave, ancient trees growing right of the water's edge frame a clear lagoon. Monkeys, large monitor lizards, and squirrels find their niche on the beach near the cave. Underground river National Park is inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Nagtabon Beach - Nagtabon is a lovely stretch of white sand beach with crystal clear waters offshore located 45 kilometers west of the city proper. Travel time takes 45 minutes. The beach stretches 800 meters long and 15 meters wide ideal for sunbathing, swimming and other water sports. Small resorts offer food and lodging facilities for visitors.Bacungan's natural attraction includes panoramic views of mountains and ravines. Island-hopping to the nearby Hen and Chicken Island is a nice experience.
