Calauit Wildlife Sanctuary - Located in the northern Calamianes Islands is home to exotic and endemic species of animals.
Ulugan Bay - A deep channel on the northwestern coast of Puerto Princesa is Ulugan Bay, projected to be another Eco-tourism destination and site for marine culture. Tres Marias, a cluster of three islets, stand guard at the mouth of the bay. Inside is Rita Island, another popular dive spot. Mangrove forests abound in river deltas, while dense vegetation packs gently rolling hills in the distance. Modest lodging is available at the nearby village of Macarascas. Try Ulugan Bay Experience. The local communities around Ulugan Bay now offer visitors a range of interesting and adventurous activities making Ulugan Bay a unique tourism experience.
Honda Bay Islands - Just a few minutes north of the city proper, hop onto a boat and go island hopping at Honda Bay located in the mid-eastern coast of the city. Each island offers different thrills: Pandan Island, a well-known dive site, has good reefs near small drop-offs. Visitors may also explore the island's large vegetative cover. At Dos Palmas Areceffi Island Resort, the AA class Island resort offers visitors facilities for scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking and fishing activities. Lu-li Island is a diminutive sandbar that derived its name from the Tagalog Term "lulubo-lilitaw" as its disappears and resurfaces upon the action of the tide. Structures on stilts serve as picnic area for island-hoppers, and diving board attracts acrobatic swimmers. Snake Island has long stretch of sandbar that slithers on the surface of the sea, much like the critter that bears its name. It is best for snorkeling, swimming, or simply basking in the sand. Skycraping coconut trees and the shade-providing talisay trees frame the picturesque Cowrie Island. Goat's foot vines creep on the fine white sand beach with crystal-clear waters offshore. Starfish Island is a sandbar that is just great for swimming and snorkeling and has a resort that offers facilities for overnight stay and picnic huts for day trips. To take a spice to your island-hopping sortie, take a tip at Señorita Island and have a glance of seaweed farming and fish cage culture. And if you happened to be in the bay at sundown, watch thousands of bats making their way out of Bat Island to look for food in the mainland.
